Night (For Clarinet and Computer Interface) (2012)

"Night" is a work for clarinet and computer interface.  This piece features only acoustic clarinet sounds that are processed through a computer.  The first section of this piece depicts a chase through the forest.  Beginning with the sunset, the forest gradually gets darker as shadows begin to come to life.  You run from the images until you reach a clearing.  Here the moon shines bright and illuminates your surroundings.  Realizing that you are surrounded by forest and there is no way out, you enter the forest once again.  The darkness is more potent than before and you feel as if you are being followed by an army of shadows until the first rays of sunrise finally piece through the darkness.
