Braighe Lochaill (2013)

This piece is a backwards theme and variations inspired by some Charles Ives's music in which a central theme is not heard in its entirety until the very end of the piece, yet serves as a common thread tying the piece together.  The theme of this piece is a Scottish folk song, Braighe Lochill, which is deconstructed and developed from the very beginning of the piece.  Different parts of the folk song are present in all of sections of the piece and eventually the reconstructed folk song present itself to conclude the piece.
